Clodagh Henry
About the Artist
Clodagh is a graduate from the Ulster University Belfast School of Art in which she specialised in Fine Art. After graduation she emigrated to Queensland where she pursued a career in teaching with the Department of Education. She has always had an interest in fine arts and since retiring she has focused on painting and printing.
Clodagh works intuitively allowing the painting to evolve through a variety of ideas and techniques. She works mainly with acrylics which are combined with mixed media to create layered and textured paintings. Colours will be vibrant or subdued depending on how the painting evolves.
Clodagh has exhibited in RQAS in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, d’Arcy Doyle Mudgeeraba, the Ekka Brisbane, Art Extravaganza Garden City, Gallery in the Corridor Beenleigh Historical Village, Grand View Hotel Cleveland and Redlands Historical Museum. She has received awards from RQAS and ART Extravaganza and she has sold numerous paintings.
Clodagh is a member of the Redland Alliance and exhibits with Straddievarious Gallery.
