About the Artist

A’ycha was born in Rottweil ( Black Forest ) Germany, in 1952 and during her high school years of 1964-70 began developing strong interest in the arts. In 1972  she enrolled in art classes at HfbK ( University of Fine Arts) of Berlin.
She moved to India where she lived from 1976-1981 collecting impressions of colour combinations, which has greatly influenced her work to date.
From 1981-1983 whilst living in the south of France, her primary focus was painting landscapes.
A’ycha moved back to Germany in 1983 and for the next three years found she loved to paint still life but then she found Remy Trevisan was a strong influence in her works between 1986-2000 when she found a love of painting abstracts.
She then moved to Italy (Piedmont) until 2018 where the beautiful gardens and surrounding impressions influenced her painting works of among abstract flowers and being commissioned for large format wall artwork commissions.
Finally moving to Brisbane, Australia, in 2019, A’ycha lives in the Redland City area and exhibits her uniquely beautiful works for sale in the Straddievarious gallery on Raby Bay Harbour.
